A publisher, which can also be referred to as an
affiliate
, is an independent online business
or person that promotes products
and/or service, for an advertiser, on their website or blog, in exchange for a commission or percentage of the sale. Publishers
often promote more than one product or services based on their website analytics, function and demographics, and usually belong
to multiple affiliate networks
and affiliate programs
. They then utilize multiple online lead generating
methods, such as email advertising
campaigns, banner advertising
, etc, in order to attract traffic to their website for a specific
product they are promoting. Publishers get paid when the visitor or lead
takes action on their website. "Actions" are defined by the advertiser,
and usually range anywhere from, providing personal contact information or filling out a form, all the way to a making a purchase or
a signing an agreement.
An advertiser, which may also be referred to as merchant or retailer, is a company that sells a product or service online. Advertisers
utilize publishers, much like an independent broker, offering a commission or sale based on leads or customers acquired from traffic
that is redirected from that publisher's website. Advertisers usually work with multiple publishers in order to appeal to a broad spectrum
of online audiences.
CPA is a set denomination that an advertiser pays to a publisher, based on actions taken by the publisher's traffic or their ability to
convert traffic into leads or sales. For example, if a visitor sees an ad on a publisher's website and enters their email and presses submit
in the ad, the advertiser will pay the publisher for that action or
pay per lead
.
CPM is a set denomination (measure per 1,000) that an advertiser pays a publisher, based on how much traffic their website
attracts. For example, if there was a banner ad placed on a publisher's website, the advertiser would pay based on how many people were
exposed or could view that banner.
The conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who take an advertiser's desired action. The action that determines conversion on
a publisher's website is determined by the advertiser. See the CPA for an example of an action.
An
affiliate marketing
program, aka performance marketing, partner marketing CPA and/or associate program, is when a publisher receives a
commission for generating leads
or sales for an advertiser. The advertiser provides its online marketing materials to publishers and
assigns a set commission amount for each action it wants a publisher to get his/or her visitors to do. Publishers place the tracking code
for these ads on their web sites and/or in their email campaigns, and whenever a visitor uses these links to generate an action, that
transaction is tracked online and the publisher is paid.
Our proprietary in-house tracking system records and verifies every single link, impression, and lead generated through
Blue Global Media's
affiliate network
. We guarantee both publishers and advertisers accuracy of lead generation
, customer action,

super affiliate

at any stage of their businesses plan. Our publishers are never required to maintain a minimum amount of leads or sales, to remain as an
active publisher with Blue Global Media. However, we do require that every publisher have a valid email account and be able to copy and
paste HTML code and place it accurately within the code of your webpage(s) or within email. We are open to working with any publisher
but understand that the publishers that garner the best results have current established and steady traffic flowing to their website(s).
